About Hearts and Headlocks:
"Who We Are"
Hearts and Headlocks is a non-profit organization that’s main purpose is to make sick kids feel remembered and loved. We take toys to the hospital
and also give these children a chance to meet independent pro wrestlers. During the holidays families with sick children can feel alone and scared. We
reach out to these families with a small gift and a lot of love, to try to bring some light back into there lives. Starting in August, we will be touring around
the state of Texas telling wrestling promotions about our program, getting volunteers to visit with the children and collecting toys across the state of
Texas. We DO NOT accept monetary donations at this time, only new, unopened, unwrapped toys. This year’s program will run from August 1st to
December 15th of 2009. We want to get an early start this year in hopes of making the biggest possible haul we can to help the children. A little gift can
and does mean so much to a family in need and put a smile on their faces, especially during the holiday season.
What we need:
Toys:
We only accept new, unopened unwrapped toys. We want to give these kids quality toys, not bargain bin junk, so we ask that toys be priced between $5
to $20. We need toys for all ages, from newborn to preteen. For younger kids and babies plush toys are great, but for older kids action figures, Barbies,
Bratz, Legos, and other recognizable children's brand toys are what we need. Things we ask you do not donate are, gun toys, videos, and toys that
require batteries or assembly. We want to provide a toy that can be opened and played with right away.
Our goal this year is to get enough toys to give each child a set of gifts, rather than just one toy.

We are in need of Donors, Representatives to speak on behalf of Hearts and Headlocks at wrestling shows and to local media, Volunteers to collect
and store toys until we visit hospitals in December and Volunteers to visit the kids in December when we hand out toys
